😺 Meeting new clients and learning their cats’ routines
🔑 Safely handling client keys, fobs, and alarm codes
🏠 Visiting cats in their homes (from a couple of days to a few weeks, once or twice a day)

💛 Playtime, cuddles, and companionship
📸 Sending updates and photos to owners
💊 Giving medication if required (with full guidance)
🌱 Small extras like watering plants, bringing in post, or putting the bins out
🙈 Handling the less glamorous side — litter trays, furballs, and the odd accident!

🐾 What We’re Looking For

🐱 Genuine cat lovers with hands-on experience – whether that’s owning your own cats, fostering, or helping out friends and neighbours
🚗 A reliable car and a full UK driving licence – essential for getting to sits on time and covering different areas
📱 Comfortable with smartphones and email – so you can keep in touch with us and send owners their all-important photo updates
💛 Trustworthy, caring, and dependable – our clients rely on us to look after both their pets and their homes
🕒 Flexibility to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and busy times like Christmas, Easter, and summer holidays
🛡️ A clear DBS check – either one you already have, or you’re happy to complete before starting

💷 Payment & Self-Employment

💰 Flexible payment – you can choose whether to be paid weekly or monthly
🧾 You’ll be working on a self-employed basis, which means you’re responsible for your own tax records and returns
🛡️ We’ll support you with guidance where needed, and you’ll always know in advance what you’ll earn for each booking

Do I need professional cat care experience?
Not at all. What matters most is being responsible, caring, and cat-savvy. If you’ve cared for your own cats or helped friends and neighbours, you already have the right background. We’ll give you guidance and support.

What are the hours like?
Most visits are short and take place mornings and evenings. Peak demand is during holidays and busy seasons like Christmas. You’ll choose the sits that work for you.

Is this self-employed work?
Yes. You’ll enjoy the independence of self-employment, choosing your own bookings. We’ll cover you with insurance and provide support, but you’ll handle your availability and tax.

Why do I need a car?
Because sits need to happen at set times across different areas. Having a reliable car ensures you can always get there on time.

Do I need a DBS check?
Yes. Our clients trust us with both their cats and their homes, so a DBS check is essential. If you already have one, great — if not, we’ll help you arrange one before you start.
